Sea Adventures at Cedar Beach

Do you have what it takes to be a marine adventurer? At Sea Adventures Marine camp, campers explore different Long Island coastal habitats from the sea floor to the saltmarsh and everything in between. Hosted at CCE Marine Program’s flagship waterfront facility in Southold, your camper will be right in the hub of many of our marine program projects including the habitat restoration, aquaculture, SPAT, water quality and citizen science program areas. Campers will also have the opportunity to enjoy the beach for water-based recreational activities!

Sea Adventures Marine Camp offers summer experiences like no other while focusing on unique educational experiences with our marine adventurers. Each week includes interactive saltmarsh explorations, ecology hikes, seining, beach clean-ups, art and science integration projects and time in our touch tank room!

Camp Activities

Each day campers will participate in a variety of educational and recreational activities offered at Sea Adventures. Not all activities are offered daily or weekly and campers are not guaranteed to experience all activities. Some activities are subject to weather conditions (e.g., boating activities).

Our marine instructors will cover a different topic every day! Don’t worry if you want to come for multiple weeks as the activities for each topic will be rotated all summer. In addition to the marine programming, the campers will have the opportunity to participate in crafts and water-based activities (kayak, CORCL, and standup paddleboard) throughout the week. Campers will participate in a weekly trip to a local attraction (more details will be posted closer to the camp season).

Please note: Families with campers participating in Peconic Dunes Sea Adventures Camp should thoroughly read the Sea Adventures Parent Handbook linked under the “Parents” tab.
